ENCODE
European Network in Coding Theory and Applications
Welcome to the ENCODE project.
ENCODE is a doctoral network with a focus on the theory of error correcting codes and applications to security, privacy and efficiency of distributed communication and computation. The network offers PhD training to eight doctoral candidates at five institutes across Europe: University College Dublin, Ireland, Inria, National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology, France, Aalto University, Finland, University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands.
Doctoral candidates complete academic secondments at another institution in the network, and intersectoral secondments with our associated partners in industry; DLR, NXP, Worldline, Xiphera, and Cryptoexperts .
ENCODE is a Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Doctoral Network, funded by the European Commission and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation.
The network coordinator is Professor Eimear Byrne, University College Dublin.
